This project aims to introduce in the domestic and international tourist circuit a historical and cultural objective of national and international value.
The ensemble of Berislăvești monastery, historical monument category A (with national and universal value) attested historically in the middle of the 18th century, is composed of 4 objects, historical monuments category B (with local value): the church dedicated to “St. Three Hierarchs ”and“ St. Gheorghe ”, the ruins of the abbey, the bell tower and the enclosure wall and an administrative building, which is not the object of the project.
The proposed interventions aim at consolidating, restoring, conserving and enhancing the components of the Berislăveşti monastery as a whole. These include the reconstruction of the towers and roofs of the church, the reunion of the body of the abbot according to the old size, bringing to the original level of the enclosure wall, all works being done with differentiated marking by finishing of restored and contemporary areas.
The project does not involve demolition works, the intention being to preserve as much as possible the character of existing buildings, structural elements and defining components, whether it is decorative or masonry elements specific to a particular historical moment.
