Thermal spa contest, Satu Mare SM

The competition for modernization and refurbishment of the Someş recreation area in Satu Mare proposed the relaatting of spa tourism, increasing the attractiveness of recreational spaces and developing complementary functions of services.

The concept of intervention [winner] divides the area studied in functional subareas with different thematic and operating arrangements, while watching the good relationship of the activities proposed with the adjacent aquatic environment.

In the light of the potential of existing buildings on the site, demotions, upgrades and expansions were proposed for bringing to current standards, and depending on the needs of the premises, new buildings were proposed. The proposed complex comprised such constructions – admistrative buildings, hotel, shopping galleries, food, indoor Olympic swimming pool, outdoor furnishings – sports fields, alleys, parking lots, green spaces, plantations and area décor Floodplain – Skating rink, bike track, platforms and pontoons.
